They look like bandits -- "dacoits" in the local lingo -- but these are our newlywed friends, Rajeev and Saritha, who took a four-hour ride on their big Enfield Bullet motorcycle to see us, and then four hours back home by moonlight.
Motorcycle passengers (on the back seat, or "riding pillion" as they say here) aren't required to wear helmets. But you can get really, really dirty on a road bike, so Saritha's scarf arrangement is not an unusual sight.
